Glass Igloo at Kakslauttanen Arctic Resort – Arctic Circle
Seeing the Northern Lights is on my bucket list – which is pretty long might I add – and there is no better place to admire that colourful night’s sky than from one of the Glass Igloos located at the Kakslauttanen Artic Resort in the Arctic Circle.
The perfect accommodation for two, the igloos include a toilet and there is enough space for an additional bed (if you have kids), with the showers and saunas available in separate buildings. There are four-person igloos available too, those include their own shower and toilet.
If you want to visit this amazing resort to specifically view the Northern Lights, the correct time to book would be from around the 20 August until the end of April.
For those who want a larger accommodation option, the resort’s newest addition – the Kelo-Glass Igloos – can accommodate up to six people and combines one of their log chalets with one of their glass igloos and include the additional comforts of having a private sauna, fireplace, kitchenette, and a bedroom with a glass ceiling.

If you are not a fan of camping or caravanning, I don’t think this next option will be of interest to you. However, if you are interested in both or either of those accommodation options, you’re in for a treat!
